Instructor
Aides

We are now including an Instructor Aides program for students who have completed the entire Learn to Swim program. These students have learned swimming technique and are ready to learn teaching technique. Under the supervision of a certified Water Safety Instructor Trainer, aides will be in the water with students in order to gain hands-on experience.
Along with being a unique and progressive swim instruction service for the past 40 years, we are now going to share knowledge and experience with young people who desire to become swim instructors.
Instructor aide candidates may be individuals who –
- Do not meet the age requirement or are too inexperienced to become instructors
- Have expressed an interest in becoming instructors but want or need experience.
- Want to help with a course without actually being an instructor.
- Are precluded from completing an instructor course by lack of qualifying credentials (e.g.; course prerequisites or state regulations).
Instructor aide candidates can be trained by an instructor or an Instructor Trainer. Instructor aide training may be completed through a formal instructor aide course or through an apprenticeship program.

Introducing our AquaMANIA Instructor Aides!

Miss Raquel
Hi, my name is Raquel,
I have been swimming since I was 4 years old. I love the water so much you would think I'm part fish! Miss Judy certified me to be a swim instructor aide through the Red Cross. I was a baton twirler for the Catholic School Majorettes for 7 years. I love to play football, and recently, my new love is figure skating.
I have been on the Honor Roll, since the 4th grade. I love children, and most people know me as energetic and friendly. I look forward to the summer, so I can get back into the pool, and teach swimming, which I consider important in life.

Mr. Michael
Hi, my name is Michael,
I am a freshman in high school, and I have been swimming since age five. I am an active member in Boy Scouts of America and enjoy all things outdoors, including camping, hiking, sports, and aquatics. I want to be a swim instructor because it would be lots of fun, and I would like to share the great instruction I have received.
